Law Practice Management Course taught by Civil Justice members and friends at the University Maryland School of Law

"Thanks for the information you provided us in class. I was on more of a fact finding mission when I signed up for the class, but I have since been inspired to actively pursue solo practice. As you may know, my wife is a lawyer working for the DC Board of Appeals and my interest in the class was fueled by the prospect of a family business (although friends have advised me to keep family out of business). I realize the process is difficult and is a big gamble as a career move but from what I've learned in class, it appears to be worth the gamble. In response to your question about what I learned from the class, the biggest thing I've learned is that it is not a "solo"practice but an "independent" practice because of all the available assistance. I had no idea that there was so much support for a would-be independent law practitioner."
